On July 31, 2024, a ruling from the Michigan Supreme Court reinstated the 2018 voter-approved Improved Workforce Opportunity and Wage Act (IWOWA). This act will increase the state minimum wage annually and will phase out the tip credit. It goes into effect on February 21, 2025.
